Project scrubbed

Well there is no joy in mudville!

This relay sucks, I had backing and support for this documentary and my financial backers pulled out funding three weeks into the project. The only good thing is that I retained rights to all footage shot to date. So this project will have to be shelved for a while.

Other news though I am wanting to do a documentary on the skateboard scene here in Spokane and maybe air it on community access. We have two or three good skateboard parks here in town and I think that this would be a good project.

I know that its been a while since I posted to my blog. I plan to do it a bit more regularly.

James, I'm sad to hear about your shelved plans. There is a skateboard park in Colville, 70 miles north and in Newport also to the north. Maybe you can broaden the scope of your project. There are probably Skateboard parks in many little towns perhaps even in Canadian towns just across the border. Boarders seem to be proud of their skills and want to show them or even compete. I think this will make a great filmable topic. What is the story that will tie it all together?

James,
I am not unfamiliar with disabilities. My daughter is developmentally challenged and my wife has MS. I studied acting in college @ EWU in the 70's. I have always been interested in film but have never pursued my interest. I came across your Guerrilla Filmmaking blog when I followed the link from your name on the dream blog site. It was among the 10 most recent posts when I logged in one day. Because I am interested in dreams I checked it out. I would like to see what you have previously filmed. I went to high school at University High School in the valley. Graduated in 1973. Just for the record my name is Michael. I am a PHN (public health nurse) hence the name "PA Chen"

I am not sure myself where to put a response to a response. I think It can be just about anywhere the two who are conversing would like it to be. So you like this blogging stuff? I actually enjoy having a real dialog with someone. Even through posts like this.

I was not quite sure what to make of it at first. When I first got connected to the internet about 10 years ago I had developed a serious addiction to the chat rooms. I spent way to much time conversing with people from around the world.

“Just when I thought I was out. They pull me back in.”

Sorry could not help but put that reference.

So did you like the links I recommended?

I have started another.
http://entertainment-concurrent.blogspot.com/

It’s a forum where I want to have discussions about TV and Movies and what we like or Dislike about them. Check it out, and I’ll Blog you again.

Bye.

Well, I copied your post from my site and pasted it into my comment on your site. I love the computer and the WIZARDS WHO HAVE BEEN CREATING IT!!
I don't think you have to worry about getting addicted. The correspondence is much slower via blog than in a chat room. But, yes I am enjoying it. I got a post from a medical student in the Phillipines today. WOW! That was cool. I think I'll be blogging for quite a while.
